Freedom

6 Jun

Suddenly the worlds lost its hold on me

And the accusations of malfeasance gone

-my happiness, was their misery-

And my inner desire now begin to roam

No longer am I chained down to the anchors of expectations and custom

I do as I please

And I please the world

Renewed interest in life I have gained

And melodies re-awaken a creative genius that had never been

Suddenly the worlds lost its hold on me

And stopped its abhorrent expostulations

-of my happiness, their misery-

And my inner desires are free

this is too good. so crisp. to the point. intentions clear and firm on the decision.

the poetry is so much more mature than mine! 😀

Thank You. I like your poetry. It is really good and sincere. That’s a good thing. A lot of people get too caught up in trying to make poetry into something polluted with too much figurative language, that they miss the whole point–to express their emotion. You do that. Therefore you are good.
