Can’t Help But Wonder

27 Jun

Anticipation & Trepidation.

Building on crescendo.

Just once glance and just one look

Was all it took

to send my heart beating into a frenzy

Or limits of amicability is settled upon

And the worries of that which plague others pass us by.

But yet still

I can’t help but wonder

what if minds were to change.

I can’t help but wonder

What if we were to cast aside our restrictions

And let affection become more.

I can’t help but wonder.

What would happen?

If instead something would become

What was not intended to become.

Would that be great or Would that be horrific

One could only wonder.

When I saw your topic I thought we had the same sort of site, seeing as how I also posted a Shakespearean sonnet on my blog last Sunday. This is totally different but I like it. Just curious: why do you class it as a sonnet? Kind of deviates from the structure but happy to be corrected!
