I hate the truth
Of I’ll always be me
And you will be you
That I’ll never be yours
Nor you mine
Forever and ever
Forever all time
And though it’s a fact
That it’s you I’ll always lack
My love for you will
Write a thousand verses
I love you
This poem is very powerful. I really like the flow, how it goes between smooth and choppy, feels like the emotions that go with the words.
Perhaps, in my being me, there’s a you there so you’ll always be in my me, being mine. Nice one, makes me wonder about how ‘let me be me’ can hurt love.
